Chiropractic Care for Spinal Misalignment

What is Spinal Misalignment?

Think of the spinal cord as an extension of the brain.  It is responsible for sending nerve energy that controls, coordinates, and regulates the functioning of every organ, system, and cell in the body.  When the spine is properly aligned, your body is able to work properly.  In fact, the health of your entire body is contingent on an unobstructed flow of energy through the spinal cord. When the vertebrae in the spine become misaligned, it can result in a number of health problems and disease.  Spinal misalignment can cause stress on your natural pathways and block or interfere with nerve energy.

Causes of Spinal Misalignment

There are many things that can cause the spinal cord to misalign, such as poor posture, a sports injury, work stress, an auto accident, slip and falls, falls at home, spinal deterioration, repetitive usage, overexertion, or simple wear and tear of everyday life.

Symptoms of Spinal Misalignment

There are many symptoms associated with spinal misalignment, including, but in no way limited to:

  • Constant headaches
  • Back pain
  • Neck pain and stiffness
  • Insomnia
  • High blood pressure
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Dizziness
  • Eye problems
  • Arm pain
  • Gas pain
  • Knee pain
  • Asthma
  • Arthritis
  • Poor circulation
  • Cramping
  • Bladder problems
  • Stomach problems
  • Kidney problems
  • Bed wetting
  • Sciatica
  • Painful urination
  • Swelling

Treating Spinal Misalignment

The best way to treat spinal misalignment is by coming in to Liringis Chiropractic today for an adjustment. When the spine is misaligned, not only does it increase your risk of illness or disease, but because the nerves are pinched by the vertebrae, you might experience a great deal of physical pain as well.  When you come in for an adjustment, we work to realign the spinal column to its natural position.  Realigning the spine removes the pressure from the nerves that was causing pain, so after an adjustment you should begin to feel much better.

If you think you are suffering from spinal misalignment, please do not hesitate to contact Liringis Chiropractic today. If you are in Winston-Salem, please call us at (336) 768-1004 or if you are in Greensboro, please call us at (336) 299-3230.
